MOMENTS IN TIME

Here is a little look at a new editorial that has just come out in Bello Magazine featuring myself. I absolutely love the work of this dynamic Stylist/Photographer couple, so I was incredibly excited to shoot this with them a few months back. This was shot at the most amazing spot up in the mountains overlooking Malibu and I consider myself so lucky to have had the opportunity to shoot in such a beautiful place as the sun set. I hope you like it.

With summer just around the corner, the skyrocketing temperatures and sunny days have me turning my sartorial attention to Swimsuits/Bathers/Togs (whatever you call them in your corner of the world) and the many hours I plan to spend wearing them in the sun, salt and sand. 

As an Aussie girl who was never more than an hour from the beach (at most) during my childhood, summer recalls memories of sunburn, beach barbecues, cool juicy watermelon and iced water full of mint leaves and lemon slices. In retrospect I definitely took the amazingly beautiful Australian coast-line for granted but in this case distance definitely makes the heart grow fonder. Luckily the beautiful (although not quite a warm) Californian coast especially in Malibu will make up for a lost Australian summer over the coming months. This series of looks at the beach have definitely got me thinking about what I want to be wearing on the beach this summer. Celebrity photographer Chris Colls - most notable for his work with Miranda Kerr - is truly one of my favourite photographers at the moment. His tumblr documents an eclectic mix of cityscapes, flowers, celebrities and models and strikes me as a weirdly comprehensive review of what it is to live.

So i'm back to basking in the sunshine and driving the car with both windows rolled down and sunglasses on at all times, which is lucky as (although I absolutely love Chicago) my poor frail Australian body just couldn't take the freezing cold temperatures. This editorial just came out in this month's Elléments magazine, shot back in summer just to the north of Los Angeles (just thinking about how warm it was makes me feel a little lethargic).

Freja, the naturally beautiful and heavily tatted danish supermodel, is back better than before in January's issue of Vogue UK. I'm loving the crisp and monochromatic styling along with the minimal makeup and Freja's unguarded and relaxed aura in this editorial. The perfect inspiration to start a sunnier weekend in LA. Happy Friday!
