BLACK IS ALWAYS THE NEW BLACK FOR MELBURNIANS

(In no particular order: Birkenstock Arizonas, Zara TRF Boyfriend Jeans, Leather Jacket, Messenger Bag, Fringed Boots and Black Sweater, H&M Black Skinnies, Black Coat from Tokyo, DV Booties, Jeffrey Campbell Gladiator Wedges, White Scarf from Bali, Asos Round Sunglasses, Vintage Fur Coat from Glebe Markets- Sydney.)

Here is a rather exhaustive photo diary from the past two-ish weeks of my visit back home to the land down under. With the exception of a three-day trip to Sydney last week, to catch up with friends and visit my agency (but I forgot to bring my camera), I have spent all my time with family in Melbourne.

In Melbourne the saying goes - "wear anything....as long as it is black."
It is very easy to naturally relax into the habit of donning all black on my holiday in Melbourne and although I have tried to battle that compulsion ( pathetic case in point: blue jeans, scarf and white fur coat), I have regrettably settled back into my old black ways. Oh well... when in Melbourne!

It's been beyond amazing seeing family, having some long overdue catchups with friends and just generally getting things in order. I am so grateful to still have another week in Melbourne with family even though most of it will be spent recovering from getting my wisdom teeth out!
Teeth issues aside, this trip so far has been a fortnight of good food, great company and seriously ace coffee.

Top-notch food shout-out to the coffee and bircher muesli at Proud Mary's in Collingwood, Greek food at Jimmy Grants in Fitzroy and the pastries and cakes from anywhere along Acland St. in St. Kilda.
