GINGER AND SMART

Let's just take a minute to talk about all of those items that are discarded at the back of one's wardrobe, often for years at a time, never to see the light of day. This sad occurrence may be the result of an impulse buy, fluctuating weight, seasonal weather etc but these things we hold on to for no apparent reason sure that one day they will find use again.

I am willing to bet that nine times out of ten, these items- be they bell bottomed, funky printed or similarly inappropriate - often end up in the charity bin many years down the track but sometimes just sometimes you can fall in love again.

Case in point - This Ginger and Smart top. I've been holding onto it for years and not to mention also lugging it around the world with my limited weight allowance and yet last week I wore it for the first time in a year and a half. The only reason I held onto it for so long, while it was clearly far too tight for me (and looked more like a muscle tee than an oversized boyfriend), is that ludicrously expensive price tag that comes attached to a ginger and smart basic. During my spring clothing clean it was rediscovered and now that I have lost some weight, it fits super comfortably and I can remember why I paid all that money all those years ago. The quality of the fabric is like nothing else and it is the perfect summer basic.

So here's to hoarding and holding onto those things you never think you'll wear again, because well maybe you will? Perhaps it's time for a wardrobe spring clean?

  6. You're kind of, like, epically perfect.
You're the epitome of model off duty, and I hope that one day I can look this amazing wearing as little as you are.

The blog is stunning, as usual. You've got the IT factor, girl. There's just somethin' about you that's so incredibly photogenic. Lucky duck.
