I rocked this all black and 70% leather ensemble for a bit of a frolic and muck around at an awesomely retro Sunset Blvd. Laundromat the other day.
These leather pants are becoming more and more valuable by the day as I am searching around for ways to switch up my fail-safe jeans and a basic silk tank look - which lets face it is all you really need on a casual day. They are the perfect thickness, and seem to mold themselves to your body in a gloriously soft kinda way. I am also getting really into my new coat/jacket which I bought to get me by (i.e. frostbite prevention) until I find the fall jacket of my dreams as I'm still having trouble committing both mentally and financially to one coat for the season.
Which leads me to my next point, that I have decided to take a leaf out of After DRK's book by trying to stick to 5 Piece French Wardrobe tactic for the next couple of seasons. Like her, I have only just emerged from my suitcase phase and the overwhelming closet space possibilities have me wanting to load up and hoard like there's no tomorrow. However, this new challenge of buying only 5 statement pieces every season (which thankfully excludes basics and accessories) is one I think I can definitely live with and will encourage me to streamline my style.
