WHITE LIGHTENING

(Zara White Denim Jacket, H&M Jeans and Sweater (similar), Asos Paisley Scarf, Dolce Vita Boots, Prada Saffiano Bag)

Somehow both this outfit and I managed to survive over 7 miles of walking downtown yesterday. After dropping in at my agency (Ford Models) we continued on to the Shedd Aquarium. On the way we stopped to grab a white lightening latte - a coffee concoction which features jalapeƱo and vanilla extract - from Restaurant Beatrix, which has fast become my favourite restaurant in River North.

SOMETHING TO BEHOLD

(Zara Vest Top (similar), Zara Denim Jacket, American Apparel Circle Skirt, Dolce Vita Boots, Necklace from Pasadena Rose Bowl)

A little western flair for today's casting in downtown Chicago. I love this top (that I picked up in zara's sale) especially when paired with a crisp white denim jacket, which is a great summery take on a classic and the perfect combatant for the unpredictable Chicago weather.

COZY

(Zara Knit (Similar) , H&M Long Sleeve Cropped Shirt, Forever 21 Distressed Plaid Cutoffs, DV by Dolce Vita Boots (Similar), Prada Saffiano Medium Tote Bag, Kontraho 'Prism' Necklace)

A cozy early morning outfit for some pre-casting croissant breakfast shenanigans in the valley. This cardigan is by far my favourite budget knit find of the season as it was just such a good price (only $19.95). I can't find the exact one online anymore as I am guessing it is now sold out but it may still be in store so keep your eyes peeled! Its the perfect weight for the cooler mornings in LA whilst still allowing me to be ready for the inevitable afternoon heat.

ACLAND

\

(H&M Blazer, Minkpink Top, Cheap Monday Jeans, Vintage Belt, DV by Dolce Vita Boots.)

Just a quick post throwing it back to last week pre-surgery in wintery melbourne (Any of you who follow me on instagram will know I had my wisdom teeth out last week!) A nice day of hanging out along Acland St. in St. Kilda eating pastries, then coffee at a nice little place called Einstein's 251 in Caufield North, followed by a quick trip to the Priceline's 40% off skincare sale where I restocked on some old favourites. The antipodes eye cream is hands-down my absolute favourite eye cream and I was running dangerously low on Bioderma, which I haven't re-stocked since last year while I was in Paris. A new product for me is the Hydraluron Moisture Jelly, which is not yet available in the States (it still wasn't last time I checked). I'm sure it will feature in a skincare favourite post sometime soon after I've tried it out for a while longer as so far I am loving it.
I'm back in California now and although happy to be back at work, I am definitely missing my family a lot already. Also, this weeks revelation would definitely have to be that Cheap Monday jeans are just so damn comfortable. I wore them on the 15hr flight back and I almost didn't have to change into my track-pants they were that soft! Nice one Cheap Monday.

MAKING NOISE + HAIRCUTS

After years and years of forking out ridiculous amounts of money for haircuts, I have finally bit the bullet and done my own. Well by 'hair cut' I just mean a trim but still I am happy that I was able to build up the courage to DIY. I figure that unless I really want a drastic style change, doing my own trims at home is a good way to save some money here and there. It's certainly nice to have shorter hair during the current heatwave in LA which is leaving me dreaming of a mild autumn in Australia. In the meantime however I am battling the heat by wearing as little as possible i.e. a barely there camisole and my go-to ksubi cutoffs.
