Instead of jumping head-first into the thigh-high boot trend this season, I thought I'd try a mock up first, i.e. over the knee socks. I am dying to invest in a pair of over-the-knee leather (or suede) boots this fall (which I may have mentioned a thousand couple of times) but I am still weighing up how useful they would be as an investment piece in Southern California. The wearability of a Givenchy 'Obsidian' bag or small Tri-fold Celine shoulder bag would perhaps outweighs my intense and burning desire for the Stewart Weitzman 5050 boots. What do you think? Yay or nay?
p.s. The frozen over pond paints an accurate picture of the intensely cold weather in Chicago at the moment; so yes, I'm not going to lie...I was absolutely freezing while shooting this. However, it is so beautiful waking up and looking out the glass windows to see the sun rising over the ghostly dead forest graveyard and seeing it snow, that not being able to feel my nose or toes is a small price to pay for a wonderful stay. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving; I know I did.
