PARIS VINTAGE

The stifling valley heat and our broken car AC are making for some incredibly trying living conditions in LA at the moment. We have been surviving the heat by hiding out indoors and getting the bulk of our outdoor tasks done in the early morning. This vintage tee and cutoff combo is my go to for hanging around the house and running errands as it is has the perfect sun protection to breatheability ratio (unfortunately this is what my sartorial choices are boiling down to this week). Fingers crossed the weather will cool so I can start living the fall-dream that everyone else in the northern hemisphere has begun to enjoy.  

HIATUS

 Please excuse my recent hiatus from all things blog and social media as I have been taking some time off to relax. After a week long stint in Chicago to celebrate the 4th, I am back in LA for only the weekend before I head off to Australia for another couple of weeks! 

This will be my first visit home since I first began travelling over a year and a half ago, so I am really looking forward to seeing family and friends and re-aqainting myself with the motherland. Unfortunately its winter in Australia so I will be sacrificing some of my LA summer for the colder climates of Sydney and Melbourne but I am definitely soaking up this beautiful Cali sunshine before whipping out my winter woolies come Monday evening. These shorts seem the perfect mid blue colour and I love the detail on the exposed pockets. I am also really enjoying these really inexpensive sunnies from UO for jazzing up any outfit.

Pearls are the epitome of sophisticated chic in my opinion but I love the way they are currently being appropriated by pop culture and the high street for an edgier take on this classic trend.
